PUBLIC DIPLOMACY MATTERS
THE GLOBAL IMAGE GROUP WAS THE CULMINATION OF MY PASSION FOR MULTI-CULTURALISM, AND MY PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE WITH MEDIA, GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS AND PUBLIC DIPLOMACY.
I have been fortunate to work on public diplomacy projects with scores of government ministers, business leaders, ambassadors and heads-of-state. Long before it became fashionable to do so, I advocated for them to treat their nation's global image as if it were a product brand.

ABOUT ME: ANYTHING?
A good friend, and former state congressman, once introduced me to a visiting foreign official thusly: "This is my friend, Kevin Baerson, and he can do anything." The rest of the conversation is a bit foggy because I was too busy pondering that curious introduction. Anything? As in, "jack of all trades, master of none" anything? Or was he saying I "would do anything” if you double-dared me? Maybe he was speaking to my motivations. If so, did he mean that I would do anything to help this man’s country, or do anything to help my bank account?
My friend later explained that he had seen me rise from journalist to media executive, and then launch my own consulting practice with clients worldwide. I had also written some nice speeches for him, worked on his car and rescued his computer network more than once. Therefore my capabilities, he believed, included anything. A bit of a stretch, but he was right to say I have done many things. This website is a portal of sorts to my anythings. Socrates once said, "I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think." Let me know what you think.

SPIN: A FOUR LETTER WORD
I was in the White House press room when his finger wagged and lips puckered: "I did not have #@!%! with that woman." It was the birth of the greatest spin machine in modern history. Long before blogs and social media, Bill Clinton and his surrogates spun that day until much of the free world loathed Republican politicians. Political carcasses fell to form a psycho- partisan police line around the White House. Many would say these were smart people serving their country. But spin has long been branded an art of deception, and its practitioners slick heavies. Would you let your kid be on the school "spin team?" Be coached by a spin doctor? Probably not.
